"Whether you’re starting a company or a cult, recruit for conviction, not curiosity"

Quite frankly, this website was started out of a conviction to do better by our patients; especially those who seem to need a little bit more help both navigating their own health and navigating our often inefficient and complex healthcare system. As a physician and surgeon, too often I find myself having conversations about serious health topics or surgeries that seem to confuse rather than enlighten and empower. I also see that some patients have family member advocates who take on the role and responsibility of overseeing the health of their loved one. This is a beautiful thing and an opportunity for physicians like me to leverage that relationship and to work together alongside with them!
The internet and smartphones are here to stay so we are creating a valuable tool (a phone app) that patients and their caregivers can easily use to record (and save), share, understand and recognize their uniquely important health information details. Honestly, it was just a spur of the moment idea that stemmed out of an opportunity to merge two passions together, mentorship and patient care. When my co-founders and I started this project we had a strong conviction to help patients but also to create a pipeline program to work with student leaders who share similar convictions. I can assure you that our group of highly convicted (and highly talented) high school students will help to develop something very useful and sustainable to truly help our patients; and hopefully I can teach them something about surgical suturing, medicine and life along the way. Come read more about these awesome individuals in our "Meet the Team" section.
